When purchasing a property for sale on Cyprus for vacation or for year round living this means there are the mountains and the sea to view and play, there is also all the rich history that land marks on the island. There are also the visits to the small and large villages and where the person will find work.

The schooling in Cyprus for children is not only an up to date curriculum it is also equipped for children who speak different languages and also for those that do not reside on the island
full time. These are prospects that are a plus when considering moving to the island and purchasing property for sale.

There are published statistics that have been released showing Cyprus is a growing
island, one of these is from the years 1977 to the year 2003 and it shows that the economy increased one hundred and twelve percent. A large amount of these employees are employed  in the service sector, while this may not come as a surprise what may is that the government recognized this and retrained the service industry employees to boost their tourism numbers to
accommodate the amount of tourists that visit the island. There are also statistics that show Cyprus places 16th world wide in terms of per capita income, with a five-year growth rate of approximately 3.8%.

During the past twenty years the economy of Cyprus has moved from agriculture to light manufacturing and services, the service sector that included tourism that has reached almost seventy percent. 
A large part of the population that brings the corners of the world together and many of the locals who live on Cyprus use English as a common language, this alone helps to bolster tourism, as it is a first language for many and other countries that learn the
language in school.

The district of Nicosia is home to a United States Embassy, each year this embassy sponsors a pavilion for American products at an International State Fair that is held on the island. To add to this there is a Commercial Award dinner where United States and other countries promote their products as well as what exports the island has to offer in trade. The United States exports American tobacco, and tobacco products, machinery and other items such as data processing
items to the island, which imports them in trade for the products the have to export.  The items that are imported by the United States from Cyprus are clothing and footwear, as well as
steel tubes and pipes, along with different food items and some dairy products.
There are employment practices in place on the island, giving business people ability to be self employed or move a business from another country and register it in Cyprus to have it approved there is a small fee and there are businesses that offer services to do this process for business owners including having an attorney file the papers for this new business in Cyprus. After the name of the business has been approved there will be a registration fee that will be based on the capital of the company and there are also tax incentives for the businessperson offered by the government of Cyprus. This makes opening a business or moving one to the island a very attractive  deal for business owners.
